HOW TO...

...Join ACPA:

ACPA Membership offers valuable resources for Psychologists working in the Alameda County area. To join ACPA, fill out an application on-line, or obtain a paper application and mail it to the ACPA Membership Chair, 1164 Solano Avenue, Box 407 Albany, CA 94706. If you cannot download the application from this website, please contact one of the Membership Committee Co-Chairs, Connie Holmes, Ed.D. (510-898-0548) & Barbara Short, Ph.D. (510-652-4453) (). For more complete information, visit our Membership page.

...Join ACPA’s Yahoo Listserv:

ACPA’s listserv is a benefit of membership and is a valuable tool for members to stay connected with each other.  ACPA members use the listserv to engage in a professional dialogue, ask questions pertaining to the practice of psychology, seek referrals, advertise workshops and speaking engagements, and receive valuable information about issues important to psychologists and events of interest to members locally, statewide, and nationally.

Contact Lara Weyland, Ph.D., ACPA Website Committee Chair, at to request an invitation to join ACPA’s Yahoo listserv.

...Navigate the Member’s Corner:

Logging in

  • Point your browser at the ACPA website www.alamedapsych.org
  • Click on "Members' Corner" and log onto your personal profile page by entering your User Id and Password.
    • By default, your User ID is your last name with the leading letter capitalized.  It may be followed by a number if you have a common last name. You may change your User Id if you wish (see instructions below).
    • If you are logging onto Members’ Corner for the first time, your Password will be the same as your User Id. You should change it as soon as possible to something you can remember. In fact, you will be required to do so as soon as you log in the first time.
  • If you do not know your User Id, click on “Forgotten User Id” and your User Id will be sent to your email address of record.
  • If you do not know your password, click on “Forgotten Password” and a new password will be created for you and sent to your email address of record.

Changing your Login Information

  • You can change your User Id and/or Password any time you wish. Log onto the Members' Corner to do so. Then click on “Change My Login Information” in the Members Only Functions section. Enter a new User Id and Password. Neither one can be blank, and they must not be the same. The Confirm Password, however, must be the same as the Password. This is to be sure you entered it correctly, since you cannot see the characters you typed. Please use something you can remember.

Maintaining your Personal Membership Data

  • Scroll down the page to Edit my personal Membership Data and click on Membership Data
  • Click Member Information and that will take you to your practice information.  Click on colored headings to make any address, phone, fax, education, degree, and license information changes.  You can also make changes to your ACPA Online Referral Services information, if you have already joined, by scrolling down the page and clicking on the colored headings.
  • Click Save Changes when you have completed the desired changes.

Making these updates is important; it keeps ACPA's member information current and accurate.  If you have any problems or questions contact Lara Weyland 510-531-5354, .
