ACPA Referral Services |
|
The Alameda County Psychological Association (ACPA) provides referrals to the public through Find A Psychologist, an online directory of psychologists providing services such as psychotherapy, testing, consultation, and public speaking.
The psychologists listed on this site are all fully licensed by the Board of Psychology, California State Department of Consumer Affairs. In addition, all the psychologists are members of the Alameda County Psychological Association, the local chapter of the California Psychological Association, and agree to uphold the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association.
All clinical psychologists receive training in the treatment of emotional distress such as depression, anxiety and stress-related disorders. In addition, they often have additional training for the treatment of other disorders. These areas of interest are listed for each practitioner. For example, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and child therapy require specific expertise as do specific types of treatment such as cognitive -behavioral, psychoanalytic, hypnosis, and EMDR, to name a few. These services are listed when applicable.
All psychologists listed in this Directory speak English. Additional languages spoken are listed in the psychologists' descriptive information.
