- We protect our profession. We advocate for bills that enhance our capacity to practice to the full extent of our training and skill, and oppose legislation that is bad for the public and psychology.

- We provide Continuing Education programs to support your professional development. These are high quality, affordable, well-organized events with renowned experts.
- We support public health through programs such as disaster relief efforts, depression screening, and media services.
- We provide ethics consultations to answer members' questions and address their concerns.
- Our newsletters, announcements and member listserv provide news and information of interest - articles about new advances in science, theory, and practice; up-to-date information about policy and legislation affecting your practice; public and human interest stories; and information about important milestones and events. The listserv is also a great way to look for an office or renter, or to seek opinions, professional information, or share ideas.
- Last but not least, ACPA is your professional community! Open Board meetings, holiday gatherings, and other events provide an opportunity for you to get to know some of the over 1000 psychologists who reside or work in Alameda County.
