What can the Ethics Chair
do for you?
ACPA members have access to any number of benefits, including consultation on ethical issues. Although I m not a lawyer, I am able to help you understand the way the law and ethics apply to clinical practice. I am available to the membership by phone. I respond to all requests for information as quickly as I can. Call or write, give me some of the details of your concern, and I will try to sort it out with you. If I can t help, I will try to point you in the right direction. Although I am not a lawyer and can't give you legal advice, I can help you understand the relevant laws and ethical issues that apply to your situation.
I will be writing a regular column and articles for the newsletter. I will try to keep you up to date on new legislation, ethical issues, and other topics from the world of psychology, law and ethics. Look for articles on topics relevant to psychologists in the Current Articles section.
