Education and Experience
I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development and a respecialization in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University (Bay Area). I completed specialized training working with LGBTQ+ clients at UCSF’s Alliance Health Project. I am a strong believer in body-based approaches, drawing from two decades of teaching yoga and mindfulness. I have a background in cognitive neuroscience, a long-standing mindfulness practice, and two decades of experience supporting people through anxiety, stress, and identity development.
More Personal Info
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in stress and anxiety disorders, mood concerns, and LGBT-issues. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, integrating structured skills with present-moment awareness to help you reduce anxiety, gain clarity, improve your self-acceptance, and build long-term resilience.
I enjoy working with:
- Young-to-old adults (16+)
- LGBTQ+ individuals, including clients exploring identity, relationships, and family dynamics
- High achievers, perfectionists, academics, and creatives
- Professionals facing burnout, imposter feelings, or work stress
