Clinical Psychologist

Theresa Tan, Psy.D., M.Ed. is a licensed clinical psychologist who serves children, teens, and adults. She received her doctorate from The Wright Institute, her master’s degree from Arizona State University, and her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. She trained at UCSF’s Child Trauma and Research Program as a postdoctoral fellow and at Through the Looking Glass for internship. Her approach is primarily psychodynamic and she is passionate about play therapy. Before becoming a psychologist, she was a kindergarten teacher. She wrote, illustrated, and published her first children's book, "The Yet Pet,” which is based on her experience with young children.

Dr. Tan is a certified reiki practitioner.
